  For superior video quality

BGAN X-Stream is Inmarsat's premium IP streaming service. It guarantees streaming data rates from a minimum of 384kbps up to approximately 450kbps, on demand. These are the fastest on-demand streaming rates in the world of mobile satellite communications.

Using a single, highly compact, lightweight BGAN terminal, you can deliver even higher quality video back to the studio when broadcasting remotely, wherever you are. There is no need for an external antenna or any additional hardware - just use your existing Hughes HNS 9201 or  EXPLORER 700 terminal.

All BGAN Terminals have special streaming services, which are simply unshared channels to the Internet on the BGAN network. While streaming video can be done on the standard network connection (see examples below), the special streaming services are helpful to avoid video or audio drop outs. Streaming services (an unshared connection) are Charged by the Minute, while the Connect Standard service (a shared connection) is Charged by the Megabyte Transferred.

BGAN X-Stream may be selected on the BGAN Launchpad:

      How It Works
The option to choose streaming services for your BGAN Network connection is located on the BGAN Launchpad when the terminal first logs into the network. Click on the Data tab to display the option of Connect Standard (per Megabyte charge) or any of the available Streaming (per minute charge) services.

All streaming services are available on all BGAN plans with EX4U Telecom. Selecting a streaming services means they will be charged by the minute.
